AnalyticMath

Mathematics / graphing program - 'auto-calc' and function visualization.

AnalyticMathOverview

AnalyticMath is a mathematics / graphing program with a powerful editor and integrated 'auto-calc ' features that will allow expansion and/or simplification of algebraic expressions quickly and easily. The program is intuitive, simple to use, and suitable for everyone from students to theoretical physicists.

The program contains a unique graphing module that permits expressions with up to 8 unknown variables to be plotted directly. This is an excellent tool for visualizing functions and their dependencies. For example, y=Asin(kx+b) could be plotted (y vs. x) and the program would automatically recognize A, k and b as being unknown variables. It would, therefore, display Sliders for these variables and set their initial values - the sliders allow the user to vary the value of the variable in question in order to visually examine the effect on the graph to which it is connected .

The mathematics editor/calculator within the program can, among other things, perform symbolic algebra. This can help to remove the tedium and error-prone nature of calculations such as the expansion of multinomial expressions and the multiplication of brackets containing multiple terms. The editor is very liberal in terms of syntax and, in most cases, mathematical expressions may be typed into it as they would be written on paper. It is also capable of displaying structures such as fractions, square roots, subscripts, superscripts and many others. These may be nested one inside the other, with no practical limit - the program automatically sizes and spaces all mathematical components as they are added so that the user is never burdened by the task of having to do this sort of typesetting by hand. The editor is capable of displaying (and working with) a diverse range of expressions, from the very simple to the very complex.
